ABOUT OUR OILS
What is the difference between wood pressed and cold pressed oil?
Wood pressed oil (called ganuga or gaanuga in Telugu and kachi ghani in Hindi) is made by crushing seeds slowly in a traditional wooden ghani. The slow speed keeps the temperature low. Cold pressed oil is also pressed at low temperature, but in a machine press. Neither method uses heat or chemical solvents. Most of our oils are both cold and wood pressed. Kalonji and safflower oil are cold pressed only.
Where and by whom are your oils made?
At our own unit on the Srisailam Highway, near Hyderabad. Our all-women team presses, filters and bottles every batch. We have been making oils since 2018 (FSSAI Lic. No. 13623010000896).
How fresh is the oil I receive?
We press in small batches. Every batch is sold out or shipped within 3 days of being ready, so oil does not sit in a warehouse for months.
How are your oils filtered?
Naturally. After pressing, the oil rests for 3 days so the sediment settles on its own, and the clear oil is then bottled. There is no chemical refining, bleaching or deodorising.
Why does my oil have a little sediment or look slightly cloudy?
This is normal for unrefined oil. Because we filter only by natural settling, a small amount of fine natural sediment can remain. It is part of the seed. If you prefer, let the bottle stand and pour off the clear oil.
Why does your oil smell and taste stronger than supermarket oil?
Refined oils are deodorised, which removes their natural smell and flavour. Ours are not, so they keep the natural colour, aroma and taste of the seed.
Do you add preservatives or chemicals?
No. Nothing is added: no preservatives, no chemicals.
Are your products organic?
We do not claim our own products are certified organic. What we promise is small-batch, unrefined oil with nothing added. Our physical store also stocks certified organic products from other brands.
Which oils come in glass bottles?
Our specialty oils (almond, flax seed, hemp seed, niger seed, moringa, kalonji and walnut) are shipped in glass bottles. Our everyday cooking oils are packed in plastic bottles.
Which oil should I use for what?
Groundnut oil is the everyday oil for frying, tempering and daily cooking. Sesame (nuvvula) oil suits tempering, pickles and South Indian dishes. Coconut (kobbari) oil is for coconut-based curries and Kerala-style cooking. Mustard oil is for North Indian and Bengali dishes and pickles. Many families rotate two or three oils.
How should I store the oil?
Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and the stove.
Allergy information
All our nut and seed oils are pressed at the same premises, so any oil may contain traces of other nuts or seeds.

Do you deliver across India?
Yes. We ship to addresses across India.
How long will delivery take?
We aim to despatch within 3 working days. Delivery then usually takes 3–5 working days within Telangana and 5–8 working days for the rest of India. Our unit is on the outskirts of Hyderabad, so despatch can occasionally take a little longer.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is based on the weight of your parcel and is shown at checkout before you pay. Rates within Telangana are lower than for the rest of India.
How can I pay?
Online, by UPI, debit or credit card, net banking or wallet, through Razorpay's secure checkout. Cash on delivery is not available at present.

Can I cancel my order?
Yes, any time before it is despatched. WhatsApp us from the phone number used on the order.
What if my parcel arrives damaged or leaking?
WhatsApp us a photo within 48 hours of receiving it, from the phone number used on the order. We will refund the affected item.
Can I return an unopened product?
Yes. Tell us on WhatsApp within 48 hours of receiving it and send it back unopened within 7 working days. Return shipping is paid by the customer. See our Refund policy for full details.
